My Top Picks To Add To Your Baby Registry

My Top Picks To Add To Your Baby Registry

When it was time to start putting together our baby registry for our shower, I must say I was completely lost! I had absolutely no clue what baby products we would actually need. One thing I did know was I didn’t want to have a bunch of random baby stuff we would never use laying around the house. I started asking my friends that had babies what I needed and researching the different products and brands that are out there; now I feel like I’m a baby expert! Now that he has been here a couple of months and I’ve been able to try everything out, the items we did register for I feel that I actually do use a lot, with the exception of a few things he’s not quite ready to use yet. Below I listed the items we have been getting the most use out of and are my baby registry must haves.

Travel

  • Uppababy Vista Stroller– This stroller is the creme de la creme of strollers! It moves so smoothly and can be used continuously as your child grows and your family grows. It comes with the rumble seat and bassinet attachments and it doesn’t hurt that it’s super stylish! We ended up going with the grey color called Jordan, but it comes in a bunch of other colors as well.
  • Uppababy Mesa Infant Car Seat– We got the matching car seat that hooks right into the stroller and is so easy to install in the car as well. We did a lot of research on car seats and their safety, and this one was easy to install and no extra attachments were needed.
  • Uppababy Carry All Organizer– I love this little carry all for on the stroller when we take our walks because I stick my phone, keys etc in there.
  • Uppababy Cup Holder– This is a nice little add on for my water or coffee when we’re out for our daily walks.
  • Stroller Fan– I have used this fan quite a few times now with having him right in the peak of the hot summer months.
  • Uppababy Vista Travel Bag– We haven’t used this yet, but I know it will come in handy when we start traveling and having to bring the stroller with us. We’re pretty big travelers, so this was something that was a must have for us.
  • Freshly Picked Diaper Bag– I wanted a diaper bag that was stylish but functional and this bag is just that! I love that it’s a backpack, but the straps can be adjusted to wear it other ways as well. It has a changing pad, insulated pocket and much more storage in it as well. I got it in the black, but this comes in a bunch of other colors as well!

Bath Time

Loungers

  • Dockatot– If you don’t add this one to your baby registry you’re seriously missing out! This was one item consistently across the board I had people say I needed. I think most babies love it because they feel very secure in it, our little guy is definitely pretty happy when he’s in his dockatot!
  • Boppy Newborn Lounger– I’ve started using this more lately as he has gotten bigger and has started to like being propped up a bit.

Sleep

  • Shusher– These little sound machines are worth every penny if it helps them sleep! This one is nice because it’s small and can be easily moved around.
  • Hatch Sound Machine– This sound machine is the one we leave plugged in the nursery. It’s really nice because it can be controlled through bluetooth so you can adjust it from your phone.
  • Halo Sleepsack– I was told that every baby is different with how they like to sleep, so I registered for a few different types of swaddles. This one was our favorite because Maurice definitely likes to sleep with his arms up.
  • Aden & Anais Muslin Swaddles
  • Little Giraffe Blankets– These blankets are so soft, we have two!
  • Uppababy Bassinet Stand– With the amount of time a baby actually uses a bassinet I chose to use the bassinet that attaches to our stroller for our bedside bassinet as well. There is a stand that it hooks to and then it can also be used as a hamper when you’re finished with the bassinet. If you get the Uppababy stroller it’s a great option!

Toys

  • Fisher Price Kick and Play– This little playmat has been great for some stimulation and for tummy time; it also came highly recommended.

Feeding

  • Boppy Barenaked Pillow & Cover– This pillow has been amazing for feedings and helps keep them propped up so you can also be comfortable while feeding your little one.
  • Dr. Browns Bottle Warmer
  • Dr. Browns Bottle gift set– I loved this gift set because it came with different sized bottles and the cleaning brushes as well. This brand of bottles has definitely been my favorite.
  • OXO Tot Bottle Drying Rack
  • Wubbanub Pacifier Everyone loves this pacifier, even Rambo who now has one of his own!
  • Avent Pacifiers– These were the pacifiers they used in the NICU so this is the brand he got used to right away.
  • Burts Bees Burp Cloths All the burp cloths because you will need a million of these!
  • Spectra Breast Pump– I used the Medela breast pump while in the hospital and I can say that I like the Spectra much better. My only complaint with mine is that it has to be plugged into the outlet. The Spectra S1 is battery operated and more portable. **(My pump isn’t something I put on my baby registry, my insurance covered it, so check with your doctor about that)**

Seating and Activity

  • Baby Bjorn Bouncer– I almost didn’t register for this seat because I wasn’t sure I was going to need another seat, but I’m so glad I did! He loves to bounced and this chair can easily be moved throughout the house.
  • 4Moms Mamaroo– This swing is awesome because it has multiple different movements and does not take up a lot of space in the house.
  • 4Moms Breeze Plus Playard (Bassinet Sheet & Playard Sheet)- This has been great for changing him and his naps during the day. We live in a two story house, so when he needs to be changed I can change him downstairs rather than having to run upstairs to his nursery every time.
  • Solly Babywrap– I just recently started using this wrap and it has been a life saver! It’s so hard to get anything done around the house when you have a baby in your arms. With this wrap I can finally do things while having him strapped to me, and it’s comfortable!

Diapering

  • Keekaroo Peanut Changer– This changing pad is perfect because it can easily be wiped down
  • Ubbi Diaper Pail
  • Pampers Plus Wipes
  • Huggies Diapers– These seemed to fit him best and have the least amount of leakage; we tried a few different brands. You will be using a ton of diapers so adding them to your baby registry is definitely a good idea. I know Amazon even has a fund on their registry options.
  • Baby Bumco Diaper Cream Brush– I laughed when I first saw these, but they really do come in handy! Perfect for applying that diaper cream without having to dirty your hands.
  • Diaper Rash Cream– They used this one in the NICU

Clothing

  • Kate Quinn– This company has the softest clothing! I bought a couple of their gowns and I was hooked!
  • Kickee Pants– Another one of my favorite clothing companies with the softest onesies. Make sure to get a bunch that zip and gowns for night time, buttons are not fun in the dark at 3 am!
  • Honest Laundry Detergent

I hope this helps with any of you mamas who are struggling with what items to put on your baby registry, I know how overwhelming it can be!

Xoxo,

Danielle
