If there’s one thing I’m super particular about, it’s making sure my nails are looking their best! These past few years I have made my nail routine a regular thing and now there’s just no turning back! I have always had really brittle nails, so keeping them manicured is the only way that I can really get them to grow without breaking. Also the last 6 months of taking prenatal vitamins has helped a ton too.
Now that my nails are growing longer, I changed up the shape of my nails to almond shape and I’m loving it! I think it’s a great way to help elongate your fingers. When it comes to picking nail colors I’m a creature of habit and always tend to gravitate toward the pink and whites, they’re just classics! I also like them because they grow out is always less noticeable. I recently tried out some nail products from the brand Londontown and I loved the colors I picked! I tried out three that I think are perfect for spring and summer, as well as their gel top and base coats.
One of the things I love about Londontown is that their products are cruelty free, vegan and paraben free. All of which I love when a company is conscious about. The nail polish itself had great coverage and was so easy to apply. I started with the Gel Genius base coat which helps to extend the wear and shine of your polish. I then applied the colored polish, I always do 2 to 3 coats depending on the coverage of the nail polish. I have to say with these two coats was more than sufficient. Once that dried I topped it off with the Gel Genius top coat which gave my nails the perfect shine and that gel look, but without the light and damage. Normally a couple of days and my nails start chipping when I’m wearing regular nail polish, but with these my manicure lasted much longer! Below are the three colors that I tried out.
Lemonade Pop is the most perfect pink! I love that it’s a bright bubblegum type pink. It had more of a matte texture so the pigment was really good. I will definitely be wearing this one all summer long!
Afternoon Tea is one of those polishes that’s right up my alley! I’m such a sucker for a pinky, white polish and this one was just that. I think it’s such a classic and looks so pretty. This polish was more matte as well and didn’t take more than a couple of coats to show it’s full color.
Jane Austen is another light color that I loved, but this one had more of a lavender undertone than Afternoon Tea. Again, a really pretty lighter polish that will be perfect for the spring and summer months.
If you’ve been looking for the perfect at home gel manicure I would definitely try out the gel base and top coats. Londontown has the prettiest variety of nail colors and nail care products so you can create that perfect mani right at home!
What’s your favorite polish color for the spring/summer months?
Xoxo,
