Happy Friday babes! Today I’m sharing this babydoll top I just got from SheIn, it’s my new fave! I love the ruffle detail and the pretty baby blue color. It also comes in yellow, green and a light pink and runs true to size; I’m wearing a size small. The price is so good coming in at only $14. I’m seriously considering ordering the other colors! It paired perfectly with my favorite white cutoff shorts (I linked two similar pairs) and pink bow sandals.

If you haven’t heard yet, this week Instagram announced it’s newest algorithm. Also for the first time ever, they shared all the details on the changes, hallelujah! For the past couple of years everyone has been trying to figure out how to beat the algorithm every time Instagram made a change. So many myths and rumors were started. The whole shadow banning thing, yeah that was totally a myth! The fact that they just came out and shared all the deets was a treat, especially for all of us bloggers! So here’s how it works and how they determine what shows up in your feed.

They want you to see what you like. This is something I had heard in the past few months, so it seems that the rumors are true. What you’re “liking” is what you will see. When you’re liking an accounts photos, watching their insta stories or searching for their account, the more likely they are to show up in your feed. So if you like seeing somebody’s posts, make sure to be liking and commenting on them.

You won’t be seeing so many old posts in your feed anymore. Did you notice at one point there were photos showing up from days before? That’s because Instagram was showing posts based on engagement vs. timeliness. They did say that the more you open the app to look at posts, the more chronological the posts will show up. So during that down time, start scrolling! The more you’re checking the app, the more you are to see newer and more posts, especially if you’re following a lot of accounts.

This is just a brief overview of what they shared. You can find the list of details here of what you can expect with the new algorithm. So what do you guys think? Do you feel like you can sleep at night now that all the secrets are out? I sure do!

Xoxo,

Danielle
