Hello girls! I can’t believe it’s been 7 months since my last blog post! I’ve been wanting to get back into getting at least one blog post up a week, but up until now I feel like my day to day routine has kind of been all over the place with two kids. I finally feel like we’ve got a decent schedule and routine down and I have a little bit of time during the day to myself. I plan on doing a post going more in depth with having a second chid and time management/ juggling it all, so stay tuned!
For today’s post, I’m going to share all the baby products I found most useful the second time around. When I registered for baby items with Little Mo, I did a ton of asking around and research to make sure I was getting what I felt were the best items and the most useful. I didn’t want a bunch of clutter around the house on items that we weren’t going to use. With that being said, I felt I did a pretty good job the first time around! You can read about which items we registered for here. I can honestly say we got good use out of just about everything.
When having your second child it’s definitely nice that you already have most everything and won’t be needing all the major necessities. You can read a blog post I wrote here about what I rebought the second time around. Below I’m sharing the items I thought we found most useful the second time around with Gio.
I think I may even have used this more the second time around than I did the first! Definitely one of our most used items. I’ve seen a lot of other mamas say they like the Snuggle Me, which is similar to the Dock A Tot. I have never used it, but its another lounger to look into.
This was has been super helpful when I’m trying to do something with Little Mo and I need to put Gio down and keep him entertained. We use this pretty much every day during bath time. I know there’s an attachment you can put on there as well to help keep them entertained and busy.
These are great for baby wearing around the house. Obviously with two kids you’re doing a lot of juggling of things and it definitely helps when you can have your hands free!
Another good carrier to have, I like this one for when out and about
Both of my boys loved this swing! It takes up little space and comes with different modes and speeds for swinging. Not every baby loves a swing, but this was a hit for us
I bought a second Hatch machine because Little Mo still uses his. This has been great for Gio as well. Would highly recommend for white noise
We used this for tummy time for both boys. It’s not the most aesthetically pleasing item lol, but the kiddos love it. There are other play gyms that are more neutral, but from what I understand the bright colors are there for baby’s development
I used these both times with the boys and they were both happy. Work great for colic, air and gas. A little heads up, with that comes a lot of bottle parts!
I love this for diaper changes! Very easy to wipe off and keep clean when you have a mess
I have a couple of these diaper bags and they’re still my fave! Trendy, has a lot of compartments and backpacks are just easier to carry to free up arm space
We’ve been using this a lot lately to keep him entertained and busy. He loves being in the standing position and I think it really helped strengthen his legs. I love that it also turns into a table and chalkboard when they outgrow the activity center
We’ve been on strictly formula the last few months and I have to say this machine makes it easy to get a bottle in the click of a button. There is some maintenance in making sure the funnel stays clean, but I think it’s worth it for how convenient it is to make a bottle fast.
When I was pumping I used this pump again this time around and still loved it! Would recommend the battery operated one for any of you that are pumping on the go
I’ve used a few different swaddles and sleep sacks and I still think these are probably my favorite. They’re lightweight, fitted and you can unzip the arms when baby is rolling and only needs a sleep sack.
No explanation needed lol, every mama needs one of these!
Mama’s of multiple kids, what are some of the baby items you found most useful the next time around? I would love to hear your input!
Xoxo,
Danielle
