Baby Maurice’s Nursery and the Monitor We’ve Been Using

Maurice's Nursery and the Baby Monitor We've Been Using

Today’s post is a little glimpse into Maurice’s nursery and sharing the baby monitor we’ve been using. There are still things I would like to get for the nursery, like a rug, light, and a few more decorative things, so it’s not really “finished”, but it’s getting there. He showed up 4 1/2 weeks early, and I was completely unprepared, so things have taken longer than I would have liked. Note to self, don’t wait to the last minute for these things because there’s no such thing as a plan when it comes to babies! (I noticed as I was linking everything a bunch of these items are on sale at the moment!)

As for the monitor, when we were registering for our baby shower, we decided to not use a traditional monitor and to use a camera that would hook up to our home security system. It was WIFI enabled and we could use our phones as the monitors making it easier for us and having access at all times no matter where we are. Recently I started putting Maurice in his crib for naps and I was quickly realizing I wasn’t happy with it. It wasn’t giving me a close enough view and the camera kept cutting in and out. I just didn’t feel secure leaving him up in his crib and using this as my monitor. About a week later Lollipop Baby Camera reached out to collaborate and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect! I decided to take the collaboration and see how I liked it. It’s been a little over two weeks now of using the camera and I can honestly say I love it and could not be happier with it!

We hooked ours on the side of the crib, but it can also be set up on a table or mounted on the wall. I get a perfect overview of him in his crib, giving me all the security a new mama needs! It comes in three different colors; blue, pink and green. It too is WIFI enabled and I have been using my phone as the monitor. The best part about it is that I don’t have to be viewing the camera to see when he’s moving around or crying, it will send me notifications and alerts. I can then open the app and see the live camera. You can also go into the notifications and see every past alert as well. Below are the different features.

You can play music or sounds through the camera as well. So if your baby likes white noise for example, you can choose that and it will play through the camera. There is also a microphone you can use to talk to your baby so they can hear the sounds of your voice. If you have more than one child, you can get another camera and view both rooms from your phone. This monitor pretty much does it all!

If you’re registering for your baby shower or just looking for a great monitor, I highly recommend checking out the Lollipop Baby Camera. I can honestly say I feel at peace when I put him in his crib for a nap now! If you guys have any questions about the nursery or monitor, as always feel free to send me a message!

Xoxo,

Danielle
