Happy Friday girls! With the weekend finally here, I thought today’s post couldn’t come at a better time! A couple of months ago I posted about Winc. Winc is a company that makes wines and also delivers them right to your door, what’s better than that? I have loved the ease and convenience of having my wine delivered and have also had the opportunity to test out some really great wines as well; I’m currently hooked on rose!
Not only is Winc super convienant, but it’s also one heck of deal. Using this link and code ‘Danielle25’, you will receive 4 bottles of wine for $27 and complimentary shipping. That is such a great deal, you honestly can’t go wrong! I have a post from back in May with all the details on Winc here.
Summer water rose has quickly become my favorite rose. I recently found a recipe on bonappetit.com for a frozen cocktail called frose, and having my rose on hand now I decided to give it a try. So today I’m sharing a recipe for the tastiest frozen cocktail that you’ll be drinking all summer long!
Ingredients
- 1 Bottle of Summer Water Rose
- 8 ounces of halved strawberries
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 2 1/2 ounces of fresh lemon juice
1.
Pour one bottle of rose into an empty container and freeze. I left mine in the freezer for about 24 hours.
2.
Combine 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/2 of water and bring to a boil. Stir continuously until the sugar is dissolved.
3.
Once the sugar is dissolved, pour the 8 ounces of strawberries into the sugar water, remove from heat and let sit until cool, about 30 mins, so that the strawberry flavor can infuse into the sugar water.
4.
Once cooled, pour the mixture through a strainer into a bowl so that you’re only getting the liquid from the strawberry sugar water.
5.
After you’ve strained the stawberries, cover and chill the strawberry sugar water for about 30 minutes.
6.
While that’s chilling, freshly squeeze a few lemons to get 2 1/2 ounces of lemon juice.
7.
Scrape the frozen rose, lemon juice, 3 1/2 ounces of strawberry syrup and 1 cup of ice into a blender and puree until it’s smooth.
8.
Once it has gotten to the consistency of your liking it’s ready to be served, cheers!
I promise you girls will love this cocktail! It is so good and perfect for the heat right now. I’ve been sipping on these pretty much every night this week. Cheers and happy Friday!
Xoxo,
Danielle
