Since moving to Las Vegas, I’m pretty much outside as often as I can be. The sun is always shining, the weather couldn’t be more perfect! With that being said, it’s so important that my skin is protected. The sun is super strong here, and if I’m not careful, I’ll look like a lobster by the end of the day! I’ve had it happen a few times! I’ve tried quite a few sunblocks the past 2 1/2 years and haven’t really found any that I love, especially for my face. My biggest concern is always making sure my face is protected, and I’m so particular about what products I’m using.

There’s nothing I hate more than that greasy sunblock feeling on my face, it literally grosses me out! I’ve tried countless sunblocks for my face and haven’t liked one. When Coola sent me these products to try I couldn’t have been more excited! I have been using them for the last week and a half and I’m hooked. Below is a brief description of each.

Makeup Setting Spray

This might be my favorite product of them all! Like I seriously just want to bathe in it! It has an SPF 30 and is meant to be put on over your makeup, but I’ve even just spritzed it over my bare skin. It smells so amazing, the scent is natural green tea and aloe. This product is made with cucumber and aloe vera extracts to help soothe and refresh the skin. Once it is sprayed on the skin it feels like you have nothing on which is another reason why I love it. No greasy, slick or heavy lotion feeling; pure perfection!

Mineral Sunscreen Matte Tint

This product is also really good. It’s SPF 30 and has a natural beige tint, which gives you a line smoothing matte finish. This sunscreen is made with rose hip oil, evening primrose, flax seed oils and natural shea butter. It has no scent and is made for every type of skin, including sensitive and oily skin. It’s very light weight and is very soft on the skin. I tend to get a little oily throughout the day, and this product has worked great for me.

Mineral Lip Luxe- Bonfire 

This last product is a sunscreen for your lips., SPF 30 as well. It comes in a few different colors, the one I have been using is called Bonfire, it’s a pretty copper bronze shade. This lip balm contains cupuacu butter and mongongo oils which gives it a creamy feel and helps to promote soft and smooth lips. It smells really nice, it has a fig flavor. I have always tended to neglect protecting my lips from the sun, but it’s so important to keep them shielded from the sun as well. So this is a product I will definitely be getting a lot of use out of.

I think what I love most about Coola products is that everything is based off of a farm to face philosophy. They try to use as much natural, organic, sustainable and locally sourced ingredients in their products. That is something I look for when I’m buying products I’m putting on my skin. Our skin is our biggest organ, so treating it right is important. I’m so happy I was finally able to find a brand of sunscreen that I love and will help keep my skin looking healthy and youthful!
