My Makeup Must Haves: Brushes

I have always been a lover of all things beauty. You take me into a Sephora or Mac and I could be there all day! I have tried all kinds of different makeup products and brushes and there are always those few that I keep coming back to. I’m going to break it into two different posts, one for makeup and one for brushes. Today’s post I’m going to talk about  my favorite go to makeup brushes.

This flat kabuki brush is from Sigma and I love it to put my foundation on. It’s flat top and dense fibers work really well at blending the foundation into the skin. It doesn’t leave any of those dreadful foundation lines.

Another one of my favorites from Sigma is their large powder brush. It’s big, it’s fluffy and is perfect for applying powder or to help blend makeup out. I use this when applying my powder to set my makeup or help to blend out my contouring. Who doesn’t love a big fluffy makeup brush!?

This brush is from Mac Cosmetics and is my go to for applying my gel liner. A lot of times I like the winged liner look, but we all know how hard it can be to get both wings even!  With this brush the slanted edge makes it easy to glide the liner perfectly across the lash line and give you that perfect winged look.

This is the Mac 224 brush, it is the holy grail brush for blending out your shadows. I tend to use it when I’m applying my shadows in the crease of my eye. I also use it to blend out any other shadows I apply.

This is the Mac pencil brush that I love to use along my lash line. I often use this brush to smoke out my eyeliner above and below my lash lines. It gives a great smokey look for a more dramatic eye.

This is the beauty blender that I’m sure you have all heard so much about. I got mine from Sephora, and I have to say, it really is worth all of the hype. I dampen mine and then squeeze out the excess water and use it to apply my foundation. It gives your foundation a nice dewy finish.

What are some other makeup brushes or tools that you guys love?

Xoxo,

Danielle
