Well just like that we’re one week into the new year! I pretty much spent all of last week getting things back to normal around here. Taking down all of the Christmas decorations, cleaning up the house and doing laundry from our family vaca. I feel like every year we all start off with good intentions that we’re going to stick to our new year resolutions and are super motivated. Then a few weeks in that sort of dwindles off, believe me I’ve been there! Last year, for the first time, I actually wrote down all of my goals and things I wanted to work on and can actually say I followed through and stuck with most of them. I’m not sure if writing it down made me feel more accountable or what, but it worked! So I decided to do it again this year. These are a few of the goals that I have set for 2018.

  1. Maintain a healthy lifestyle– I usually like to workout 4-5 days a week, so I would like to continue staying active, adding a little more strength training into my routine. I really like HIIT workouts, so I plan on doing more Kayla Itsines BBG workouts with my intervals on the treadmill and runs outside. Along with working out I hope to continue eating healthy, with a few splurges on the weekend of course!
  2. Be more mindful– This was something I had on my list last year as well, and I definitely really made an effort to do so (I started doing meditation). This year I would like to continue trying meditation and getting better at it and just being more in the present. I have found that most of my anxiety stems from my anticipating an event or dwelling on the past. Keeping in the present helps to curb that anxious feeling.
  3. Continue to work on growing my blog into a business– Almost two years ago I started this blog as a hobby, a place where I could document my fashion, travel etc. Little did I know I’d make so many relationships along the way, I have loved connecting with you guys, and can’t way to see what 2018 has in store!
  4. Keep a positive mindset– We all have those days where nothing goes right or we just “get up on the wrong side of the bed”. Often times I find myself talking negatively, and in the end, where does that get us? No where good! I believe that what you put out there is what you attract. Obviously bad days will happen, but I plan to try and keep as positive as possible this year. No negative talk!

I have been living in my thermals lately! They’re the perfect combination of comfy and cute and are perfect for a casual ootd. This green thermal from Gray Monroe is my newest one and I love the cross front. I styled it with my lace bralette, distressed denim (50% off right now! Grab them while you can, they’re my favorite pair of jeans I own right now!) and loafers for the comfiest casual look. Another thermal I have been wearing non stop is this one here. I literally want to buy it in very color. I’m also dying for this one!

Who else has been loving the thermal trend this fall/winter? Where are some of your favorites from? I’m looking to add a few more to my winter wardrobe!

Xoxo,

Danielle
